Operating Systems No Longer Supported
As of January 14, 2020, Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 have reached end-of-life. Microsoft no longer supports these OSes. As such, OSSI no longer supports these operating systems. While our software will continue to install and upgrade on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, we will not provide technical support for these systems for versions beyond Intelli-Site v4.0.45.12. All customers and integrators are strongly encouraged to migrate to Windows 10 or Windows 2016.
Overview
This article contains the release notes for Intelli-Site v4.2.14.8 The following sections describe the release in detail and provide late-breaking or other information that supplements the main documentation.
Upgrade Requirements
For projects using the Milestone Driver, it is necessary to remove the Milestone Driver from the existing install before upgrading.
The process is:
- Using the Windows Add/Remove Programs applet, modify the Intelli-site installation.
- When shown the options for the drivers to install, uncheck the box for "Milestone Driver" and click "Next".
- Use the latest installer to upgrade to the most current version.
- Again, using the Windows Add/Remove Programs applet, modify the Intelli-site installation.
- When shown the options for the drivers to install, check the box for "Milestone Driver" and click "Next".
- Start the Engine and driver service as usual.
Because the database has been redesigned, the installer will only upgrade version 4.0.45.12 or later. Minor modifications to the database had been implemented before version 4.0.45.12. Those modifications must be applied to the existing database for the software upgrade to properly upgrade the database.
The process is:
- Upgrade to version 4.0.45.12
- Open the Configuration Utility and start the Engine. The Engine performs the necessary modifications, not the installer. If there are multiple projects, each project must be started.
- Stop the Engine and close the Configuration Utility.
- Upgrade to the current version.
- Open the Configuration Utility and start the Engine. As stated in step 2, the Engine performs the necessary database upgrade not the installer. If there are multiple projects, each project must be started as well.

The following software features were added

- General
- Removed all CodeMeter dependancies.
- Desktop Client
- Design View: Added a new option in the tree node right-click menu to allow bulk modification of the Event Buffer Delta value. This new option can be found under: Replace All->Event Buffer Delta
- Design View: Added a new option in the tree node right-click menu to allow bulk modification of the Pulse Duration value. This new option can be found under: Replace All -> Pulse Times
- Design View: Added a right-click option to toggle "Use Node Name for Label" for all counter values in the context menu of counter nodes.
- Design View: Added an option to the right-click context menu in an action grid to "open" a screen-type object.
- Design View: When deleting an object with children, the confirmation dialog will let the user know how many children there are.
- Design View: Added a new option in the tree node right-click menu to allow the user to quickly go to the parent Template of a Template Screen Object in the tree.
- Design View: Allow cut & paste in the action grids of Custom Script nodes.
- Design View: Display the number of actions in a grid on the tab or combo box.
- Design View: Allow row copy/paste in evaluation grids.
- Live View: Added a new debug window. Press Ctrl-Alt-F2 to pop it up.
- ReportsView: Updated to Microsoft Report Viewer 2015 (Runtime v12.0.2402.15) and now uses the 2010 RDL/RDLC schema version.
The following Panels were added or upgraded:
- Milestone
- Milestone Driver updated to the MilestoneSystems.VideoOS.Platform.SDK version 25.3.2. The update may cause sites with older versions of Milestone to stop working. (See Milestone NVR Panel Guide for compatibility details). Upgrading from Previous versions of the Milestone driver requires specific steps. See the Upgrade Requirements section above for details.
RESOLVED ISSUES
The following issues affecting all products have been resolved:
- Configuration Utility
- Note: Do not start the Client Manager unless you absolutely need it. The Client Manager counts as a client in the license. Contact Support for further info.
- Driver Specific
- MAC Panel: Choosing the Delete Programming option on the last ladder set can cause an Unhandled Exception error.
- MAC Programming Template Panel: Programming Template: Unhandled Exception when any replcement point is not specified.
- MAC Programming Template Panel: Unhandled exception when there aren't any ladder templates or ladder templates that apply to the panel type.
- General
- Desktop Client and Config Utility: Message Boxes may popup behind in Win11 24 & 25H2
