Introduction

The included batch file will export the data included in the Access Sets by Cardholder report. Once exported the data can be edited in excel or notepad. When editing is complete the IS Importer can be used to re-import the data with the edited changes.

Procedure

Steps to Resolve this issue:

  • Copy the PCSC.bat file to the desktop of the machine hosting the database.
  • Open Intelli-Site and in Documentation and Reporting mode, run the Access Set by Cardholder-All report.
  • Minimize Intelli-Site and double click the PCSC.bat file and wait for the CardData.csv file to be created.
  • Open the CardData.csv file in excel.
  • Right click column A and choose insert from the context menu.
  • In the first Cell of the new column enter the word "ID".
  • In the second cell of the new column enter the the number 1. In the third cell enter 2.
  • Highlight the second and third then drag the plus sign toward the bottom of the sheet. This will auto-number the records, continue dragging until all of the records have a number. This will make the records unique.
  • Edit the card number field, if the new Cards are in a continuous range, the same auto-numbering technique can be applied.
  • Save the file, ensuring it is saved as a csv file.
  • Launch IS Importer and create a new Import Scheme.

Warning

This method is intended to work with a system that is using Multi-ID, and will not work with Single-ID.
