Operating Systems No Longer Supported

As of January 14, 2020, Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 have reached end-of-life. Microsoft no longer supports these OSes. As such, OSSI no longer supports these operating systems. While our software will continue to install and upgrade on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, we will not provide technical support for these systems for versions beyond Intelli-Site v4.0.45.12.  All customers and integrators are strongly encouraged to migrate to Windows 10 or Windows 2016.

Overview

This article contains the release notes for Intelli-Site v4.1.11.8. The following sections describe the release in detail and provide late-breaking or other information that supplements the main documentation.

Upgrade Requirements

Because the database has been redesigned, the installer will only upgrade version 4.0.45.12 or later. Minor modifications to the database had been implemented before version 4.0.45.12. Those modifications must be applied to the existing database for the software upgrade to properly upgrade the database.

The process is:

  1. Upgrade to version 4.0.45.12
  2. Open the Configuration Utility and start the Engine. The Engine performs the necessary modifications, not the installer. If there are multiple projects, each project must be started.
  3. Stop the Engine and close the Configuration Utility.
  4. Upgrade to the current version.
  5. Open the Configuration Utility and start the Engine. As stated in step 2, the Engine performs the necessary database upgrade not the installer. If there are multiple projects, each project must be started as well.

RESOLVED ISSUES

The following issues affecting all products have been resolved:

  • Configuration Utility
    • Support Package naming convention changed to include the project name first then the software version then date/time info. This makes it easier to find the file you are looking for in windows explorer.
    • Note: Do not start the Client Manager unless you absolutely need it. Only start it when redundant Engines are required and licensed. The Client Manager counts as a client in the license.
This isn't new. It just bears repeating.
  • Desktop Client
    • Corrected an issue where deleting a Timezone could cause an issue with device schedules. A deletion will now request a complete download to all panels involved.
    • Saving a record in Access Managmenet View on one client was causing other clients to drop out of edit mode.
    • PauseScript and ResumeScript actions were not working properly.
    • Custom Script BaseTimeout Counter was not overriding segment timers.
